All my days I will sing this song of gladness, Give my praise to the fountain of delight, For in my helplessness, You heard my cry, And waves of mercy poured down on my life

Revival!

Just got back from an amazing weekend! Every year we have this huge christian conference named Revival with over 50.000 visitors in Holland. This year was my first time! A whole weekend filled with lots of singing and great speakers. My favorite speaker was David Pawson from England. Learned so much and it was so good to praise God with all those thousands of people around you. So many different people, with varied church backgrounds all joining hands to praise Him. That's how it should be! Sunday afternoon was very special. The whole day it was rainy and cloudy but when we had the sing-in which was in the open air, the clouds rolled away and the sun was shining again! You can only stand in awe when you see over 40.000 people singing His praises and celebrating Life! Below is a photo of the big tent which fitted over 10.000 people. The major gatherings where in that tent. What more can I say; simply amazing! Believe or not...I actually enjoyed camping! Now we did have this amazing tent I would like to call the Tabernacle. It was huge and beautiful. It's the white creamy one behind the caravan. The pretty one. I slept like a baby and my tent mates were so much fun! All in all I had a blast!

A new chapter...

Do you know that song: Only You?
Only you can fill my deepest longing
Only you can breathe in me new life
Only you can fill my heart with laughter
Only you can answer my hearts cry
Life with God is exciting, exhausting, excilerating and a lot of it is waiting in expectancy... But waiting for Him is worth it! A new chapter in my life will commence in a few months time. I got offered a job to work for the Youth for Christ in Rotterdam! It doesn't have anything to do my study or work at the moment but hey...neither did working for the Abernethy Trust and that turned out to be a very special chapter in my life.
I've only got a few more days of work left and I am moving out of my appartment next friday morning. Strange to leave that all behind again. But change is good! First thing first ofcourse so I am flying to Scotland friday evening! Holiday celebrate! Then I just need to find a job for 2 months and on the 1st of September I will take off again in a new city, a new job and a new life... But I know He fills my deepest longing, will breathe in me new life, fill my heart with laughter and answer my hearts cry. What more can a girl ask for?

Left my heart...

...in bonnie wee Scotland! The Highlands are calling me and I can only answer! So I just booked my tickets and I'm coming back in a few weeks. On the 1st of June to be exact! Will wonder around for about two weeks. I just can't wait to catch up with everyone and experience the beauty of Scotland once again. Oh boy, I wish I was going tomorrow! You know how your heart can sometimes ache and long for something you really love. Well I think Scotland is on the top of that list! I've only got a few more weeks of work left. Finishing on the 31st of May, so what better way to start unemployed life than to go on holiday! First I'm going to Glasgow, then travelling to my favorite valley in the world; The Spey Valley! Will visit Ardeonaig for a few days (the Mamma Mia Queen is coming...better watch out!), might go to Aberdeen too. Oh I don't know and frankly I don't really mind. Just coming to relax, unwind and gear up for a new chapter in life!

Pastor, pastor, where art thou pastor?

It seems people are starting to worry about my marital status. My dad is checking out all the young and single pastors that come to preach and now Lorimer Gray, boss of Abernethy met a nice suitable dutch guy for me too. At work they all agree that I should marry a pastor or missionary. Haha! Who knows... One thing I do know is that I am far from desperate and I'm enjoying single life very much. No need to set up blind dates for me! If mister Right comes along, he will be more than welcome. If he'd rather wait for a while, I'm sure I will survive ;-)

Rain dance

The summer is magic! Magic! Holland is going tropical. The last few weeks was sun, sun, sun! Totally loving it. But now rain has come again. Which is good because we dutchies are not used to having so much sun and no rain at all. All plants were on the edge of dying so the rain was more than welcome! I wish I had more time to write my blogs. I'm so busy at work that I can't find the time to keep you all up to date. But here are a few pointers: have applied to work for the Youth for Christ to set up a new project called Diverse City. Very exciting and the job is simply me. Will find out in a few weeks if I'm going to be part of the team. Hope so! Will move out of my appartment in a few weeks as well. Life is rather uncertain now. Maybe I should worry more but to be honest; I don't. I wonder if I'm just been naieve but I trust God has got some new plans for me and I have to wait for His call. Have been thinking of going into mission and will attend a mission conference for young people in June. Very excited to hear what God will have to say. So I'm just really dancing through life with God as the perfect dance partner!

Holland rulezzzz

Even though the lovely Christina and Jola have left a few weeks ago, I still want to share some photos with you of this happy reunion. I met Christina and Jola in Ardeonaig and we became instant friends. An international trio; Jola from Poland, Chris from California USA and moi from Holland. As you can image I was thrilled to welcome them to my country. We simply had a blast!Lots of sandy beaches in Holland. Jola went crazy and almost dived straight in. Fortunately we could controle here for the water was freezing! We had lunch along coastline and had some real dutch treats like; poffertjes (little yummy pancakes) and kroketten (will not explain that for it will only sound disgusting while it is so tastefull!).
Beautiful Amsterdam. I must say if you are showing tourists around than you see your country differently and to be honest; Holland rulezzz. Amsterdam, our capital is so full of culture and history. And famous for its canals, so what better way to explore its beauty than on the water. Add the millions of bikes we have and what do you get; waterbikes! And what does a true tourist do when visiting Holland? That's right: take a photo with a mill. I'm an allround tourist guide now so if anyone would like to see all of Hollands glory with their own eyes; you're more than welcome!
