All my days I will sing this song of gladness, Give my praise to the fountain of delight, For in my helplessness, You heard my cry, And waves of mercy poured down on my life

Holiday! Celebrate!

It's time for a happy blog again. I think it was just the withdrawl symptoms from not watching any TV. Which is going really well by the way. All of a sudden I've got all this extra time! Loving it! This week has been a bit manic in so many different ways that it was the right week to have a TV-break and make time for God. And next week is just the perfect time to go away on holiday! Hip, hip, hurray!

You might be wondering what these sad cows are doing in my blog. Well next week I'm going to a wedding in Romania. My friend Bettie is getting married to a Romanian and I didn't want to miss it! She lives in quite a remote, rural and poor part of the country. My friend met her lover while she was on a work-holiday in his village with her home town church. Well love was in the air! A part of that same church group is travelling with us (or better said, we're travelling with them because we don't have a clue where we're going!) Here's when the cowes come in; last time this group drove into the town, the happy villagers were slaughtering a cow in the town square to celebrate their arrival. Yummy, I can hardly wait... We're going to be sleeping in this medical post with hopefully runninng water but you never know... Flash lights will come in handy because electricity doens't always work. Back to basics!
But before going to Romania, my friend Tineke and I are going to spend some days in Budapest, capital of Hungary. It's cheaper and faster to fly there and rent a bus to drive down to Romania. So this is really a perfect holiday; first some culture in a beautiful old city and then a trip to rural Romania. This way you get to see both sides. Photos will follow...

Wat een indrukwekkend weblog. Ik was in de veronderstelling dat jij niks meer deed op het net...
We wensen je een hele fijne vakantie met een leuke bruiloft toe! Geniet ervan.

Liefs van oom Evert en tante Dilia
